BASIC CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY SCHOOL

The Basic Construction Technology school is a practical based school in which we have lecture pase in the mornings and in the afternoon we go and do practical application of the new skills we have learned in the classroom. The school teaches about different hand and electrical tools that are available for construction work and how to use them safely. We teach how to build from the surveying of a plot ofland to the completion of a building. This includes grading, foundations systems, floor systems, wall systems, roof systems, electrical and plumbing of the building and any infrastructure involved such as septic systems and water wells. As we teach each new area, we go and draw the plans for that section and then we go and build it. The school is three months long (2July'04-24Sep'04) with an optional outreach of another three months (through 17Dec'04). We recommend that all students participate in the outreach phase to further develop their new skills in the building trade.

The school isn't only learning to design a building and to build the structure you have designed it is a school focused on the Lord and the relationship we have with him and our fellow students. Without relationship and love for our fellow brothers and sisters the school is useless.

Basic Construction Technology can and will be used by the Lord when we are willing to live according to the Lord's plan for our lives. We will see miraculous things happen. The most important part of the School is our Relationships with Each Other and our Relationship with the Lord. In each phase of the school we put God First, our Relationship to Each Other Second, an dfinally our School Work Last. In living this out you will see that God will give you the desires of your heart and you will learn the skills he wishes you to acquire.
